Information We Collect

GiveHearts, via its browser extensions and web pages, collects usage information to approximate revenue generated by a user.  These revenue generation estimates are then used to determine how much money should be donated to the charity/non-profit a user selects.

Usage information does not include information about the websites you visit or the content of any web page other than the GiveHearts.org site and the GiveHearts New Tab.

The usage information we collect specifically includes the following:

  • A random string to identify you
  • The time of day a new tab was loaded
  • A count of new tabs loaded
  • The charity you’d like to donate to

On the GiveHearts.org website we use tracking technology (Google Analytics) to better understand site traffic patterns and use. However, none of the information collected via tracking technology is personally identifiable information.
