Are you tracking me?

Not at all.  We’re just like a website and don’t see any more information than any other website would.

As far as our browser extension goes, we intentionally request as little permission as possible – basically just permission to set the new tab.  We created GiveHearts with limited privileges in mind so we wouldn’t need to ask for additional rights, like storage or history.

To make things even better, we don’t even require you to sign up or log in.  When you first start using GiveHearts, we generate a random string of numbers and letters and use that as your ID.  We store that number in a cookie so we can keep count of your collected Hearts.  Other than that, we don’t have any other info about you.

If you choose to sign in (using the Google Signin we’ve provided) the only additional piece of information we get is your email address.

Other than that, our extension doesn’t allow us to see what sites you visit or what you do on other sites.
